I have been so lazy lately about carrying.

I do not mean I am not carrying. I just mean I have been way to lazy to strap on a holster. I have just been throwing on my fanny pack with my Glock 33 inside of it. Easy to put on, and easy to take off.

Hopefully this is just a slump and not a picture of my future. Maybe I just need some new holsters.

Anyone else ever get "lazy periods" regarding their carrying?

Eh, sometimes I just wear my P11 with belt clip. Can't really wear a holstered pistol while riding my motorcycle so I'll stick it in a jacket pocket.

Got any new/interesting acquisitions?

I pocket carry only (IWBed last night to the movies...bugged me all night!!) and feel naked without it. I think pocket carry is lazy, cause it mandates smaller guns, but easily accessible.

meeting the First Rule

Fanny packs are perfectly legitimate methods of carry; do not be concerned.
All life is ebb and flow, nothing remains the same, change is constant.

Just have options readily available.

Pocket carry, holster carry or fanny pack carry is still carry. When you start leaving them at home is when you'll have a problem.

Usually when its warm out I carry my Kahr PM-9 in a Galco Sto-n-GO IWB holster, holds well, comfortable, and very cheap.

Now that's its colder I was strapping on my full size HK USP with a Galco FLETCH holster.

Than I started becoming lazy and now I just grab my PM-9 with its Galco holster and throw it in my jacket pocket. The Sto-n-Go holster is pretty much a pocket holster with a plastic J clip on it anyways, and is unnoticeable inside my Northface's pocket, keeps the trigger safe and covered, and still allows a quick draw.

What a well thought out and concise post by Creature.
Give him a break. He is a Navy man. All that recycled air is not good for their brains. I also have a personal theory that prolonged exposure to bell bottoms degrades your cognitive capabilities. :D

I get the same way somethimes. My little Colt Cobra is just so much more convienient to stick in a pocket than strapping on one of my larger handguns.

I regularly pocket carry a Kimber UC .45 - how much larger a gun should I be carrying? ;)

Yeah, that's why I started buying alloy and plastic revolvers and pistols. I have always been an all steel owner until about a year ago. I did break down and buy a couple VM11's one for my 1911 but also one for the alloy J Frame. At least I am trying to get it out of my pocket and I have been looking at a CZ75D, so I think there is still hope for me.

The new holster seamed to help for now, it's about 50/50, 1911 and J Frame.

You must have bigger pockets than me...:D

Though I have been casually looking for a pocket holster for my CS45:

Im not nearly cool enough for a fanny pack  But I got a nice new Raven Phantom for my G36, but dont have any pants loose enough to fit it in, so I still cant carry..

I kind of want to get a tiny pistol that fits in my pocket for those lazy days as well.

I always get lazy when the weather starts cooling off. It's just too easy to slip the LCP/Seecamp in the pocket during the summer and forget about it. I have to wing myself off of pocket carry during the first couple weeks of winter and slowly get back into the P2KSK or 1911 Commander IWB.

I get bouts where I'm lazy... yeah.

That IWB holster can start to rub, or the weight just is annoying.

I'll go a couple days with either the 642 or a PA-63 in the pocket.
