Ooh! I forgot about those! I picked up a nice 659 once for $259. It is now a spare for an officer in Wyoming. Still see a few older guys with Smiffy autos around the company I work for.

A Star Model B Super would be fine. Since I bought mine it is my EDC. Parts are available but the Star is so robust it may last you a life time. Mags you can get on E bum and if you watch you can find then in the $20 some range. Since I EDC mine I picked up five so I have a total of seven and that should be enough. Do expect to have to play with the mags and polish the followers but that is NBD. As I recall model A mags can be made to fit with a tweek of the endcap. There are notched and unnotched versions too.

I have a tokerev and it shoot really nice and is a really I say really powerful gun and it is really cheap. The p64 is a nice gun too but it isn't as good but looks cooler I think. I wouldn't get the Spanish 1911. Does it happen to be the star model b?

I don't know what your current collection looks like. you may already have CZ'z or CZ clones. And I know you said mil-surp and I totally understand your wanting one, a few I want myself. but if I had 300 right at this moment for a handgun, and I didn't already have something similar, I would take a hard look at this is the for sale posting. not surp AT ALL, so sorry to go off topic, but it is indeed an awesome gun that is reliable as all heck and outshoot most semi-auto's even twice it's price.

I wish I didn't already have a few full size 9mm
s. because there are so many good ones at great priced these days.

I would like to know who is selling Beretta 92s for $299.00?

Classic Fire arms has the Beretta 92s for $299.
I paid the extra $20 for hand select, For a total of $319.
To be honest from the condition of mine after hand select. they must be getting down on the supply. So i would just order at the $299 price and save the 20.

A few months ago I bought a SAR B6 (Turkish made CZ75 clone) for $299 when they were closing them out. I think list was $599 and usual retail price was around $499. A really quality piece for such low money and a very nice shooter. Not sure if there are any still around for that kind of price though.
