I get sticker shock on 22 revolvers

LOL..a lot of fans here who only think S&W is the bestest in the world.
Ive got a S&W 617-6 4" 10 shot. However it has a HillaRY lock...so people that feature on the S&W. But keep in mind they are expensive as far as a 22LR. .

My collection was started with cheap guns I could afford...to bad H&R pistols went through the roof..Charter arms is a damn good company MADE IN THE USA.. you will PAY for a Ruger LCR in 22 because it is so now and not available. LOL

The best thing to do is quit wining and buy one that you like before the prices go up. The prices reallly are not bad when you think about what you made back when the 22s were cheeper but then I started working when minimum wage was $3.00 an hour.

Yeah ... but low-cost is rarely ever the best. Just a compromise.

Most of the time, "the best" isn't necessary. "Good enough" is quite adeguate.
Aarond,

do not forget the Korth, please.

The OP was already in sticker shock,,,
I didn't want him to go into Grand Mal Seizure

Well, yea...but the price of a Korth will make most anything else seem inexpensive. :)

Gusss,

Some years back, I had a Taurus 94 snub. I have to agree with other posters that the trigger was really heavy. But other than that, I thought it was a good shooter.

I see you're in Texas. Not sure where, but if around Houston, this is on TX Gun Trader. Not exactly cheap. But has new grips & a laser.

I'm still trying to figure out,,,

I'm still trying to figure out,,,
Why the OP would trade off a S&W Model 63.

It is one of the finest .22 revolvers ever made.

There are many different styles of grips for the 63,,,
Surely there is one out there that he would like.

He did mention wanting a "nine shot something",,,
So I guess that's as valid a reason as any.

I own a slew of .22 revolvers of many makes/models,,,
I consider my model 63 to be second only to my model 18.

I will make a prediction here,,,
If you swap out your 63,,,
You'll be sorry you did. :o

Pretty much feel the same way as Aarondgraham. The S&W M63 is a fine little revolver. The M18 is a great revolver too but of course only a 6 shot. The 3" M63 is still on my "list" if I ever see on for sale at a fair price. They have been out for a couple years and I have never laid eyes on one (actually one but the gunshop was trying to pass it off as 'New' and it was not new) although I do have the longer barrel'd version and like it. It is actually fairly easy to carry other than for concealed carry. Have not been visiting gun shops much in the last 6 months. I have more 22 revolvers than I have fingers (mostly Colt and S&W).

I read that the Charter Arms Pathfinder is not a bad budget 22 revolver. Don't have one, and doubt I would be interested. But they are available.

A S&W K 22 is about as good as it gets. I also have a Colt Diamondback 22. I still won't own a Ruger because of Bill Ruger's politics back when they were banning guns.
