I fell in love,,, with a Taurus of all things.

the Taurus' I owned in the early and mid 90s were exceptional guns. I don't know what if anything has happened since then, but the newer versions lack something the older ones didn't.

I have an older 85B snubnose 38 with the wood stocks that I love. Has been a great gun. Accurate, great fit and finish, better trigger than either of my 3 Ruger revolvers. The rap means you can always find them cheap.
What's not to love?

Hello jimbob86,,,

Aaron, you have given me cause to doubt your bolded sigline .....

Believe me my friend,,,
No one was more surprised than I was.

In all of my experiences with Taurus revolvers,,,
The design has not been a problem.

Almost every one of them was accurate enough,,,
If you could just get past a bad trigger.

The one I got to fire last week,,,
Had a trigger that rivaled my S&W's or Colts.

I really liked the 5" barrel on that gun,,,
That and it's balance is the attraction for me,,,
And it's also the only 5" barrel .22 revolver I know of,,,

So now I'm wondering if it would be worth buying a new one,,,
And then having the trigger/action worked over.

They are only $331.00 new from budsgunshop.com,,,
I'm just wondering if it's possible to fix the bad trigger.

Even if it cost $100.00 for a smith to do a rigger job,,,
That still puts the total cost much much lower than a Ruger or a Smith.

It's just something I'm considering,,,
Does anyone know of a sure-fire Taurus trigger fix?

Taurus trigger fix

Buy a set of Wolf springs for the model 85, Then, cut to the same length as the model 94 springs. I could not find much that you could polish for a smoother action. I have had my 5" 94 for several months and it is ok. It's not a K frame S&W, but is more like a J frame with the coil springs.

It is not a S&W and never will be, but for the money it's not bad. The funny thing is that Federal Auto Match is hard to eject, but Winchester Hyper speed is not. I bought it to shoot the hyper speed because I didn't want to shoot it in my Auto loaders.

The bad thing is I can't find a holster for it.
