I don't have a S&W snub nose 357, but want one

I inherit this after my dad passes on.
His carry piece as a Federal Agent before he retired.

I've had a M36 Smith (really my wife's gun) for over 20 years now...it's the 3" bbl'd one, with adjustable sights, but came out before the +P designation was added to this model. Recently, I bought the M60 with the same barrel length. It's a great gun, accurate, powerful, and as concealable in real terms, as my wife's current carry piece, a Smith M637 with a 2" bbl.

With the right loads, the new M60 will cut ragged 5-shot holes from way out on the 12 yd line. That's as good as my 67 yo eyes can do now. Good grips on it make 125 gr Remingtion JHP's controllable...(chrono'd them the other day at over 1280 fps...and out of that 3" bbl. too).

Here's the Evil Pair, the M36 above the new M60.

Best Regards, Rod

My S&W snubby is a 386 Sc/S, 2.5" barrel, 7 chamber cylinder (L frame). Made from scandium, titanium and stainless steel, it weighs just 20 ounces empty. Being so light, it's a BEAR to shoot. But because it's so light and easy to carry, it's my outdoorsy hiking/camping gun. The cylinder carries a mixed loading-some rounds for snakes, and some for bears. A couple of speedloaders back it all up. Gotta love it.

I love the K-frame Smiths, and have my sights set on a 19-5 snub....
I have owned a few 66 snubs, and will own more, as money and luck allow.
