I did not buy the pistol,,,

Cheapshooter's rules of gun ownership #2. When you snooze, you lose!
Based on the fact that more regrets came from walking away than from scratching an itch.

Sorry, I know this didn't help.

How many rules of gun ownership does cheapshooter have ? :D

My 39-2 accompanies me everywhere when off duty, there is just something about those single stack Smiths. I don't think I would've been able to walk away from a second gen version. Then i'd have to add a 3rd gen single stack, and I have the current offering, although tossing a Shield in with those all metal classics might be a touch blasphemous, lol :D

How anyone could resist an S&W M639 and two magazines-mine is one of only THREE pistols that I have bought NIB.

I obeyed my firmest gun rule,,,

I obeyed my firmest gun rule,,,
Never buy a gun on a credit card.

I had just spent my windfall on a different pistol,,,
If I would have still had that disposable cash,,,
That S&W would have gone home with me.

Oh well,,,

With two exceptions, purchasing guns, and other stuff can be a very good idea with the right card.
1. You know you have the money to pay off the balance so there is no interest charged. And you do it!!!
2.The seller doesn't add his 3% credit card charge to the price.
The right card to me being one that offers rewards points at places I buy things I want....Like more guns. Bass Pro, and Cabela's Visa, and Gander Mountain Mastercard to be specific.
Just a few examples.
BPS Remington 870 Express 18" 7 shot....$0.00
Cabela's Browning Buckmark Camper.......$75.00
Cimarron Pistolero 45 Colt...$125
And just last week, Ruger 10-22 Takedown, Simmons 22 Mag 4X32 scope, QD rings, and 2 BX25 mags. With Simmons $30 rebate, Ruger accessory discount, and Gander rewards....$150.00

We often think alike my friend,,,

I use my Cabela's card for just about every purchase I make,,,
But I also pay off the balance twice a week,,,
Every Monday and then on Friday.
I hate surprises.

I haven't paid them a penny of interest since 1996.

My problem this time was I had just spent my disposable cash. :(
