I did a bad bad thing

I am going straight to hell (those not believing in ell, I am going to your bad bad place) I took my best friend to the range. and he loved it, but he isn't ready to invest in a gun. on hte other hand, my friend from montana is planning to get a handgun, probably a USP in 9mm. I was trying to talk him into a 1911, but he thinks the technology behind the weapon is too old. oh well

as for the 4" groups, they were better today. 1" at like 7 yrds. that a little better

I just about have a buddy at work talked into a 9mm auto for his first gun. Have taken him shooting a couple of times and he liked it. He will also be joining the NRA.
 
As a Baptist preacher, I can assure you all that God likes shooters. No one is going to hell for having a gun or shooting. On the other hand, no one is going to hell for not shooting or owning a gun, either. (But they're closer.)

God approves of competence, responsibility and honesty. He disapproves of slovenliness, slackers, and liars.

Holy gunsmoke, Reverend. I am being chased by the Glockenspeel bug, everywhere I go it's GLOCK, GLOCK, GLOCK! I put out poison baits, traps, etc. They keep on multiplying? And me a traditionalist who would never buy any danged plastic...splat! There's another one.

A funny thing happened to me a couple of times: I took shooting a sort of "anti-gun" friend, just to show them first hand what was it all about. After some briefing about handling, safety, and proper shooting technique, they started shooting, showing real interest and no fear, and then really going for tiny groups (talk about fast learners)!! So much that they instantly became hooked and changed almost 180º their former point of view on guns.
 
Liberal? Are you calling me liberal? I am so conservative it is almost sickening. The only people who call me liberal are the people at church, but that's cuz they sit somewhere to the right of the republican party. And I sit closer to the middle than the republican party. Not pictures. I don't believe in taking pictures at an in door range, because 1, the flash can be very distracting 2) I think camera may be against range policy, but I'm'not sure.
No real experiecne with Glock, I'm not against them, but I prefer steel over plastic. I have a friend who hates them because it tore up his hand. He is left handed.

here is a trick, if you want a tighter group.
pull the trigger with the tip of your finger not the inside of the first knuckle. that way you wont pull the gun to the side when you shoot.

The grace of God himself saved me from the liberal. Liberal Mom, Liberal School, Liberl Government,, Liberal Public School Education. How I escaped, I don't know, but thank God I did

I got in trouble with my Pastor wife, on Monday, because I ask her if she wanted to go shooting with me last Saturday.

Hopefully, I will be taking new people the gun show this weekend. Plus, I need ammo really bad. Down to less then 200 rds of 45 and less than 300 rds of 223. That will don't barely last me on day at the range. Let alone me and someone else. Plus, I need to find me a revolver.

You here that Ms. Feinstein and Ms. Boxer? I'm gonna get me more guns.

Oops I did it again. didn't take first timers to the range, but had a gun discussion with 3 people who didn't know squat about gun. one had never seen a real gun. well, now he has held a 1911 and a AR-15 and loaded the mag for a 1911.

It was a good talk and i showed them proper firearm handling and explained how guns work. the feel safer around them.

ALso, to piss off the senators in this state, I just paid for a USP 45 today and in 10 days, its mine yay
