computer. The thing was having issues awhile ago with motherboard failures and had to replaced one already. It started to have issues once again with power cycle down all by itself in Dec, right after the warranty had expired. I spent over 4 hours on my Christmas break trying to diagnose/fix the damn but nothing worked. Finally, we had to call our losses and I ordered them a replacement machine that same day.

I however was not finished, this damn thing caused me great fustration and I aimed to vent my vengance and anger in a special wayl. I gave it its final farewell at the hands of my new Springfield XDm 9mm. The punishment called for no less then 50 rounds of Blazer Brass FMJ solid to be fired into the guilty computer.

This, is its final moments. And yes, I removed components prior that were still useful, i'm an IT guy after all.

Another Dell actually, they make decent stuff for the price and its easy to custom build one. That particular model was on based upon the failed BTX form factor design from Intel, so it was no wonder it crapped out like it did.

After seeing your other youtube video, I am surprised that you were even able to hit it!

If I can't even hit a target at 6 feet, I might as well sell my gun and go back to playing more video games. :o

You should try it after 50 pushups and running a few laps around the parking lot. That'll humble ya but good. It did me.

This is why you build computers. Newegg is your friend, my friend. Unless the motherboard and power supply was proprietary you could have had a new board and PSU shipped to your house within three days for a hell of a lot less than buying a completely new rig.

/no affiliation to Newegg other than buying lots of go-fast parts from them

Dell and Apple have, in my experience both used substandard parts in trying to make a buck. These include PCI bus chipsets, IDE chipsets that only support one device, and, junk, underpowered power supplies.

While you can buy a faulty motherboard from Newegg, and end up with a bad system, with a little help, it shouldn't happen.
The only thing you will find is that good components are not cheap...

The little girl washing the laptop is VERY funny. Should have bought a Panasonic Toughbook, and, she could was it like that....

I have built many computers my friend from the ground up, Newegg is my heaven on earth if I may say so. I have just learned from experience that sometimes its just better to give family/friends prebuilt machines with a warranty then going from scratch.

That board was toast and was a BTX standard which would made it near impossible to find a replacement one that would have worked for the older Prescott P4 CPU's. The PSU was nothing great and Dell tends to use propriety connectors on them. The machine was also acting very slow and sluggish for everyday uses so it was simply more time/cost justifiable to replace it with a new one. They are very happy with their new Dual Core Dell Slim tower.

I did find another execution on my Photobucket where I was executing a Quantum BigFoot drive at the request of my former work associates. Damn .22 couldn't even penetrate that drive it was so evil....

It can be quite cathartic.

Now the only problem is I'm one reference short if I ever go back to MATLAB again...

+1 bajillion to that. Way too many PEBCAK issues to trust a custom box to friends/family. Just causes too many bad Sunday diners.:o

:D You have lived out the dream that I so frequently find myself fantasizing over...Particularly while writing papers for Engineering Ethics. :barf:

Kudos to you, my friend.

Boy, I feel better after watching that.

Problem is, I'm going to be daydreaming now, and my local ranges would sure not allow that. :(
