25, you can even learn from BS. If you've spent time on a farm or ranch and gotten into some, you undoubtedly learned how to recognize and avoid it in the future.:D

If all you do is absorb their opinion then no you will not grow.
If you take their opinion and weigh it against the opposite opinion then you will be able to developer your own opinion.

And sooner or later you will learn the one true absolute in life.

There are absolutely no absolutes

As a matter of fact
I challendge you to present one indisputable fact of life here

Is that your opinion or is it a fact:D

Well work around BS and everything smells like BS:D (even worse is pig crap god that stinks:D )

Why waste time with opinion when it's the truth you want. Look at TV, all they want to do is sell you stuff so they give you standards they think you should live by and then sell you stuff for you to live to their standards. All BS in my opinion LOL:) :)

You know, this really isn't difficult. Rich L. put it best, many times: Attack the statement, not the person. Anyone debating and are confident they have hard facts backing them doesn't need to resort to personal attacks. Debates usually only fall apart when their argument starts to fall apart, and it becomes personal.

Actually, the common belief that the world was flat was only an opinion. The truth was that the world is a sphere that rotates on it's own axis and circles the sun even though the common belief was otherwise.

No, the concept that the earth was flat was not an opinion. It is/was a false assertation. When something is provable wrong, it is just that - wrong.

An opinion is judgement based. It can't be right or wrong.

<EDIT> JMHO

You must not have lost money in the stock market, alot of people had the opinion and used it for judgement to buy Enron:D :D

I've made some and lost some. I'm a Ben Graham afficianado. Time will balance inequities. Check out NFI. Learn about Reg. SHO.

Opinion drives market fluctuations. Facts drive valuations (or devaluations in Enron's case.) Know what you own.

Time will balance inequities.

I wonder if I have that much time:D :D

Badly informed opinions can lead you in a wrong direction. Ever notice how some politicians take opinion polls before they move ? Odd though that the opinions are formed by the news media who tell people what to think. Government would save money by watching the media telling people what to think:D

No, badly informed "decisions" can lead you in a poor direction.

I'm say "right" and "wrong" in the classic sense. You seem to enjoy arguing.

I see opinion as a judgement one holds true by being thought out but also open for dispute and a decision as giving judgement on a matter. Both intertwined.

But it is just the way I think and I am not trying to make anything of it. Words mean something to me and I like to be able to write so people understand and not lead my words into thoughts that I don't mean.

All this is for fun and I hate to argue:D

That's an admission of pig-headedness. You are entitled to your opinion, but when you assert it is intertwined with truth your ego is showing.

Words mean something to me and I like to be able to write so people understand and not lead my words into thoughts that I don't mean.

Certain words mean certain things to you. Words have implied meaning and language is fluid (try to read Middle English). What you think and what you write is not always the same.
