I can't wait to see Regis tonight...Time for Rosie's embarrassment

Mal, that's good. :D Rosie's charity wasn't actually HCI, was it? I would have remembered that and been steaming badly.

I guess this is why the only thing I watch anymore is X-Files. So it's a *good* thing I only get four channels, then. :)

I was watching Rosie a couple of years ago (I have since had counselling) and she was bragging that she could sing the entire theme song from any TV show ever on TV during the 1970's.

So that is her contribution to society, please don't ask her anything else, because it's all irrelevant, OK?

No HCI wasn't her selected charity. IIRC it was a good childrens help charity, so the fact that she won $1/2 Million is good. But I must admit I was waiting for her to say HCI or something like it was going to be her charity.

Saturday Night Live did a pretty good spoof of that episode last night--the best part was when David Duchovny was asked what his charity was.
Blank stare.

(By the way, Ledbetter, thanks. Just for that, when I become emperor, you and your family will come to no harm. But I only look like that because I have REALLY big bones, a large frame, and wide shoulders. That's all genetic, so I can't take any credit for it, and believe me, the fat is still there.
But I lost 5 lbs. last week. I'm hoping to be down to 220 by this time next year, which would be about 10% bodyfat for me. I'm shooting for 240 by the end of this summer.)

A lot of people get flack for making fun of a person's weight. I really don't know why. It's obviously superficial to make fun of someone who is even 15-20 lbs overweight. Big deal. Why not pick on their hair being a little too long.

But when someone is 50-100lbs overweight... please tell me how on earth that can be a good thing. 1) It's not healthy 2) NO ONE looks good with that much extra weight 3) It's more difficult to move (walk, bend over, etc).

When you've allowed yourself to get into that condition it's because you'd rather live your life the way it is than change your diet or exersize.

It's such an obvious sign that someone is unwilling to take control of their own life that anything they tell someone else to do is easily laughed at on that principal alone. You might as well have your neighbor with 2 ft. high grass on his lawn come over and give you home improvement tips. You'd laugh him off of your property.

Here she is telling us that she knows that guns are bad for us, but she can't be bothered to take care of her weight. That would require her to actually do something.
