I can't believe I did this...I got outa control

"You did just get reported to the local authorities for a multiple handgun purchase though"
Huh? What are you talking about Huntandfish?

loosecannon:

Simultaneous handgun purchases (2 or more) or more than 1 a week from the same dealer get reported to ATF "extra-special" than just a NICS call.

I don't think local LE agencies get notified, though... just the f-troop.

Thx Azredhawk - the "local authorities" is what had me confused. I also live in Arizona and I doubt if the "authorities" here give a darn.

Learn some self control for goodness sake. Don't be such a slave to your addiction. I would be ashamed to show my face.
Well said.... Mr. Pot! Too bad everyone doesn't have the self-restraint that you do! :)

I bought a loaded Double Star lower at the gun show last year, just because, and tried to buy a CZ rami. dealer wouldnt budge so I went up to the local shop and bought it there. So 2 in a day but an hour apart. I spent my Stimulus check wisely dontcha think?
Just picked up a Defender from my neighbor who got it in a trade for an ATV I fixed for him last year. Good deeds do pay off sometimes. I been jonesing for a Def since my brother got one in a trade from a customer here at the shop.
So far its been a good run lately, the Rami, a PM9, a PPS ,the defender.
whats next??

Some states have a provision to report to local LEOs when the Federal multiple handgun reporting mechanism is triggered. I *believe* that Alabama is one of these although I can't find that law online at the moment.

Got a good deal...I thought...on the Beretta...NIB $525...I wanted it for the SC 13 + 1 capacity. It's a SA/DA with de cocker.

The Seecamp.....it pains me to say...I paid $1250....I could have waited 16 months for a factory $800 one. Haven't fired it yet...but I know already its a keeper....carry and forget it's there. Plan on alternating between the Seecamp and the R9....it is much smaller and lighter than the R9.

And PBP....your one to talk...my tiny collection looks like a child's starter set compared to your guns r us warehouse.:D

I did this once... only once. It was '94. I came in to some money unexpectedly, and I really wanted a Ruger Mark II. I got exactly the one I wanted... stainless, 5 1/2" bull barrel.

Because of Billary, I decided that since I had the cash, it made sense to buy a hi-cap pistol. It was almost a given that they were going after hi-cap mags (and they did) and I really, truly didn't care for 9mm and didn't really want one, but I figured I ought to. So I bought a Taurus PT99-AF, and an extra 15 rd mag.

Never thought a whole lot about the pistol... it was a cheap shooting center fire. Though I've been reloading pretty much since I started shooting, I never reloaded 9mm. Ammo was so cheap, I never bothered.

It was two years ago that I finally started reloading 9mm. Now, it's one of my most enjoyed calibers. And if I had some "fun money" to spend on a gun for pure shooting and range enjoyment, it would be another 9mm. I'd likely buy a Witness Elite Match in 9.

Honestly it is not that big of a deal. People buy multiple guns all the time at shows and nobody comes knocking at the door asking questions. What are they going to do about it anyway...its perfectly legal? Will they say, "How dare you exercise your 2nd Amendment rights twice within 5 business days!"

I think (selective memory) three was my record in one month. NRA Mini 14, Ruger 10/22, and S&W M60 I ran into while picking up the Mini from the dealer man.

Mr. Duke you will really like the Seecamp. Pistol disguised as modern art.

PBP too funny.

I'm getting the urge to splurge. Pent up desire.

I own a seecamp in 32 acp. paid a premium price 480.00 at orlando gun show. But you only get one try at life live it UP. I like the feel of steel.

I actually bought my first two guns the same day.
Ruger P90, and Ruger MKIII 22/45. About a month later my gf bought me a 10/22. Then two months ago I bought a bb gun.

Most I have bought at once was 4. An AR, to S&W revolvers(637 &642), and a Springfield 1911. I am in a "thinning the herd" mentality now. Guns are cool, and I have a bunch, but useless without bullets. I have decided to switch from handguns, to battle rifles....such a sickening and much more costly, habit!

limit

....and you said, "this is my limit for a long time" or something like that; and I believe you. BTW, there are 14 exceptions to the "long time rule"; none of which will compromise your integrity. PBP has them listed in his posts somewhere.

I'm green with envy over that and the Beretta. I like your choices. How do they shoot, especialy the Beretta.
