I bought a Rock Island M200

locally

Rural King is selling these in our area presently at $199 + tax. I've oft thought to buy one and put it in the boat.

I've looked at getting one of these as a backup gun for the long term in case my main .357 has any problems. I stock about 50/50 .357 vs. .38 since I have a snubbie too so I would still be able to use most of my ammo.

For $200 I can find something better used. I'm not a Chater Arms fan but would buy one used before a new RA. I know some guys are hung up on "new" but not always best way to
spend your gun bucks.

I looked at the M200, but then happened on a good deal on a S&W 64 and spent the money on that instead. I had the opportunity to try one at the range, it shot fairly well and the trigger was ok. Not great but usable.

They seem like a decent gun for the money, IMO.
