I ask TFLs to donate to Minuteman group...

I agree with you joab.

pse this thread is about supporting and donating to the Minute men.

Let's stay on topic please.

As far as doing jobs Americans wont do. That's media sound byte crap pure and simple.
I have worked lawn maintenance, picked corn, peaches, oranges and watermelons, worked as a gopher on a framing crew, even washed dishes in a Chinese restaurant.
I did all this 25 years ago between the ages of 13 and 17 when children were allowed, not forced, to work.

Somebody give me the link to the Minutemen website I feel a donation coming on

Joab,

Could you do that kind of work today and support yourself and your family on what those jobs pay, without being forced to live in third world conditions?

PSE,
How do you expect the goverment to control home grown problems when they can't keep people who aren't even supposed to be here under control? Maybe when we stop screwing around and get rid of the problems other countries (notice the pluralization) are sending us we can take care of our own.

Never said I could, not at the lifestyle I have brought myself up to
But if i can't then neither can an illegal

But what does that have to do with anything I've discussed here at all.

How many 13 to 17 year olds have families?

And by the way there isn't all that much difference in surviving on low wages today than yesteryear.
Back then it took almost two weeks to make the rent or mortgage and almost an hour to pay for a gallon of gas or a meal at McDonalds a days pay to pay the electric and a month's salary to buy a good cheap truck.

Another by the way
My wife works that kind of job today, by choice.
When I was out of work for three months two years ago we did fine.
And that was during the hurricanes

Very well. Then let me ask a pertinent question. What possible good would sending money do? No disrespect to ANYONE but, I would simply like to know what they've accomplished. I understand their underlying mission is to get the word out about the current immigration status but what real difference has their plight made? How much money were they wanting to spend on a fence? How many millions? That much could buy you the kind of face to face sitdowns with the right kind of people to make your cause a powerful lobbying force in washington. Is that not how solutions are now made? Or advertising a consistent, unemotional, and vivid account of the problems and solutions (and ways to help). Currently the only thing I've heard about the minutemen was once on the news (which didn't nessarily put you guys in the right light, those commies) and here on the forums (thank god). If getting the word out is the goal then they've got to manage a better job of media warfare and stop building fences. Leave that for the feds you buy...

Minutemen

After listening to PSE, I think I'll not only donate to them, I'll keep being one. With more diligence and fever than ever. Pse needs to realize that this is America, and we will never allow it to turn into a country that those people come from. Those leaders in those countries are turning into full blown communists. Pse, you aren't a liberal, that is the typical communist response. The minute men caught more crossers than than any other group. They protect peoples property, and lives and cattle and the environment by doing something every one should do once a month, go down and save our children's future by protecting OUR borders. Get off those couches, men. Any body with a perfect record can join!

Im in!!!

that one group who will actually do a hard days work and do the jobs that NO americans think they should have to.....

This is a bull shot excuse for business owners to pay people like shot!! I cant raise my family in a dirt floored shack! 3-5$/ hr will not do it! Business owners only see the bottom line... Let me rephrase, Most business owners. Just like Wally World. Hire illegals to build them, sell inferior products, and under pay thier employees. The few who do make $, sell thier souls to the company,,

Well, when they did their first major patrol of a region of the border in Arizona, apprehensions went down while they were there. Also, they have contributed to BP apps. Whether the Patrol would have made all those apps without their help or not, nobody can really say. However, there is no doubt that their presence has mightily stirred the pot. Their current push for a border fence has once again stirred the pot and brought a lot of attention to this issue. Perhaps, like you say, their money and time could accomplish more if it were devoted elsewhere, but then again if you think they could do more by devoting resources elsewhere, you?re welcome to devote your own resources to those ends. Well, you could if you actually cared about our borders and national security?

Joab,
Your last question is the reason I asked mine. Comparing what you made as a teenager cannot be compared with what an adult needs today in order to meet their basic needs, especially if they have a family.
Did you have to pay for healthcare and rent when you were a teenager?

To keep this on topic, back when we were kids, my friends and I used to run around the woods playing soldier.
It didn't require any private or public donations.
I have no desire to support a bunch of grown men playing INS agent which is the impression I get.

Can someone explain to me exactly hiw they operate? What do the do once they "capture" someone. Escort them over the border themselves? Turn them over to someone?

Actually yes I did.
I was married with a baby on the way at 18.
I painted houses in the day and worked at a gas station at night a coulpe of months before I went in the army I worked a fishing boat out of Tarpon Springs.

Minimum wage jobs are not meant to be life long career goals.
They are simply entry level.
So again your point is off base.
