If you get the M-N --- buy lots of cleaning supplies and be ready to clean er up before you venture off to the range.

Most M-N rifles have been in storage awhile - and have lots of cosmoline.
 
I agree with Krezyhorse and the others... buy it and shoot it as is... ultimately you will buying the short versions anyways... they are addicting. Also, I realize they made millions of them, and there only 90 bucks, but someday an unaltered model will be worth more than a basterdized one. Shoot it the way God intended it to be... in original arsenal condition.

Go Vike's! out of state that is.
