I am Mr Blinky. Help me be Mr Glarey

If you blinking does'nt effect your aim,I would'nt worry about it.

Just shoot your guns and enjoy them.

Every person is different and the important thing is that you hit what you are shooting at and that you actually enjoy shooting your firearm.

Forget the flinch and enjoy.

It will go away soon enough if you stop worrying about it.

Your supposed to blink, its a 44mag. You can do what i have done and quit shooting rifles and handguns that make you blink.

Geez, I blink when someone else smacks a hammer on a nail.:o It's embarrassing (to me), but in 40+ years I haven't been able to get past it & yet the nail always seems to have been hit home.

Blinking when firing a .44 Mag will almost certainly be after you've pulled the trigger, so at that point it's a non-issue. The bullet has left the barrel.
Flinching is a whole 'nuther story. Flinching is brought on from anticipation of the impending recoil. I am a chronic flincher after a minimum of 20 rounds of big bore guns. Sometime after 150 rounds of 44's I'm pretty well back to non-flinch status. When it gets too bad, I will usually shoot a bunch of 38's to bring my nerves back in check.:D

What I can't understand is, why does everybody else blink/flinch at the indoor range I shoot at (Being a Redhawk 44 mag 5.5")?

I can't wait to get the +Ps out!:D

Nature of the beast.
