Miss D. From what I know about Jeff OTMG from this and another shooting board, you will have plenty of variety of guns to choose from. I think his selection would probably put many ranges rental selection to shame. Have a ball and welcome to the shooting community........Dare I say the Gun Culture. Seriously though....Have some fun, don't push yourself. I am currently
teaching two ladies the art of safe shooting. We're going slow, and I think they are enjoying themselves.
It makes me feel good to watch the excitement on their faces when we go to the range. We talked about safety for a few lessons before they fired the first shot. Just getting used to the pistol, loading and un-loading, questions and answers...all in my living room. I thought a quiet environment would be the best place to start. I was right. Two new, confident shooters is the result.
I feel pretty good!

joegeradi..... :) I didnt mean the people here when I said that. I meant the people I know here in Chicago, they only made my situation worse for me, so they are not worthy to go with. ;) LOL

Lady D....I didnt know you were that close. Im not as brave as you with the shotguns though, maybe one day I will catch up to you and we can go knock 'em dead at the range. :) MI isnt that far from here at all!

Stark...If you saw the famous "To my pro gun friends" thread, I apologize that you had to see the old anti side of me. :supergrin But yes I soaked it all up and look where I am now. Guess they did a good job huh? I'm just sorry that no one else took that same road home!

Jedi and Darthmaum.......3 hours away? Email me, maybe we can meet up. Id love to meet some more TFL'ers! I am not sure where we are going to be, OK is foreign to me. I havent left Chicago in 8 years! Sad to say but I do not even know where Tulsa is :) I think I need to get out of the city more often huh? Ask Jeff where we will be and we can work something out.?

Bruce.... :) I dont think I will be in Australia anytime soon, Im lucky to be making it to Ok. :) But if I do ever get out there I'll look ya up! Dont you have that crocodile hunter guy out there? I must say that you guys standing on your heads shooting could prove to be intresting! LOL

HS.....Are you trying to tempt me? :) I dont think I will buying anything this time around, as much as Id like to, its not possible. One day I will but now is not the time. Now I will be hearing voices as I walk past all the guns. :)

Ok I got a little excited there but cant help it, Im too charged up! Will I get any sleep before October? :) Thanks again everyone! It's nice to see good comments , most of the people I know think I am insane for going, but too bad, I like to be insane once in awhile! The way I look at it, they are the ones missing out, not me! :)
 
I'm in Indiana Miss D..not Michigan.
I'm about 6 hours from Chicago.

P.S. I haven't touched the shot gun again..ha! I've been shooting rifles, .357 Magnum and a 9mm Makarov
