I don't understand it either they probably think more deer will get killed. Maybe they don't think people own high powered rifles so there's no sense in allowing them because people might go out and buy them?mrawesome22 said:Sounds like they are going to allow rifles chambered in usual revolver rounds.
Awesome. Maybe Ohio will be next. I've been e-mailing those ya-hoos for years now that the laws make no sense. I can use my SRH 454Casull, but I can't use a lever gun in 357Mag
I can use a muzzleloader with a saboted .429" pistol bullet, but I can't use a lever gun chambered in 44Mag
Makes no sense to me..
How about the BR cartridges? 22, 6mm, 7mm, 30 BR?If my state passes the new law it will allow rifle cartridges up to 1.8" what would be an idea rifle for deer hunting?

So is it case or OAL?From what I've heard, this year the specs are for a 1.6" case and next year it's being bumped up to 1.8"...
Many of those listed are greater than 1.8" case length, and it looks like the minimum 357 caliber will still be in effect, too.CPTMurdoc30 said:Looks like you are going to have plenty of cartridges to choose from.
I don't think so.I think it's up to 1.5 oval all
True, but where'd you get 1.5 OAL?yeah it isn't in effect yet
