Hunting apparel...

taylorforce1 i didn't say that wearing the blaze camo was legal where he is. or anywhere for that matter. just that i have seen it before. i wouldn't buy any of it.

blaze camo may or may not meet the requirements of every state. but they do make it. you can't wear blaze camo in nj. not enough square inches. but when i do wear orange i wear a vest and hat. i make sure that i have a blaze orange hooded sweatshirt on underneath my coat. you used to be legal with just a hat. but that isn't enough now.

In my post above, I meant to say it was a blaze camo vest and hat. I get some teasing about it, as there is no requirement here, but it makes my wife a little less nervous about me going hunting, so I wear it.

Little compromises that keep me in the woods are OK. :D

A pair of tan canvas carpenters pants, a Brown-ish flannel shirt and an orange hat for me.

As long as you dont wear white where it dont snow, I dont think deer know the difference. I've not read it in any books, but it seems to me that motion is what spooks deer. Never had one run when If I stood still.

Wearing camo clothing while hunting is trendy. Yes, to some degree it is a fashion thing. Honestly speaking, it is hard to buy many hunting coats that are not camo these days. The exception that I can think of are some of the wool coats that are sold. Camo clothing is not necessary except during turkey season and perhaps duck season. Birds can see color. Most game animals like deer and bear are color blind. I feel safer while wearing blaze orange clothing during deer season (gun).

Very true about being trendy and very little options. I purchase hunting clothes for comfort (cool/bug resistant or warm/water proof). I could care less what "pattern" I'm wearing. However, some seem to think they are entering a beauty walk when hunting season opens.

Nothing against Jordan, Haas and company, but camo is the most overrated aspect of the hunting industry. I think I said that before:rolleyes:...

I always wear orange, even though in AZ it is not required. I just feel safer. As for camo, well, it still helps break up your outline, and also it is nearly impossible to find hunting cloths with the moisture wicking properties and other features in non-camo clothing.

Carharrt bibs for bird season. Green Woolrich or Johnson woolies and red and black plaid wool coat for deer season. Orange hat. Essex

It may be man thing but I like to wear cammo. MossyOak for me I got almost every do dad MossyOak product on the market.

This is my friend Bill. He has been toppling Pennsylvania whitetails since the early 1950's. Bill wears dark blue insulated coveralls under this orange jacket. You won't be selling him on the idea that he needs to change his wardrobe or rifle for deer hunting. That's his Winchester 32 Special.

The rope is tied to form a handle for easy dragging.
