Huge Downer Walther CCP

Not really relevant to this saga but why the long trigger pull and long reset on a gun with a thumb safety?

The design is dumb.

One or the other Walther, one or the other!

A compact PPQ with a thumb safety and I'm in.

Walther did not respond to my last email. I gave up on it. CS has been horrible overall. A fourth return is ridiculous. My wife handled it and wants to shoot it before I dump it. I will let her try it out. Walther is no longer on any of my wish lists. I could see buying a PPQ or PPS again someday, but as of right now, I am pretty unhappy with the company.

Given that you already had issues with emails being ignored I'm not sure why you'd expect different now. If you're serious either call or let it go at this point. You have a pistol that seems to function fine, it's just not the exact color you wanted. While it might be grating, maybe it's time to look at the forest rather than the trees?

At that price point, a better option would be one of the unissued Makarovs and 500 rounds of ammo. Dimensionally and loaded weight are nearly identical, same capacity, all steel, built like a T-72, and as reliable as a quality rock.

Personally, I would quit while you're ahead, and dump that pistol. There are too many other pistols out there with proven reliability that would serve your purposes.

I understand the fascination with getting something "new and unique" (I did that with the Browning BDM, which I dumped very quickly), but with that kind of experience under your belt, I wouldn't hold on to that any longer than it took to put it someone else's hands.

Kind of after the fact, but if phone calls and emails are being ignored, one thing that's hard to ignore is a certified letter. If you decide you want to continue pursuing this matter, try that.
