How to unregister guns in NJ?

Yes Will, I am enjoying my new found freedom here and have more than doubled my gun collection from what it was back in NJ. Although, I'll be perfectly honest, I'm having a really hard time adjusting to the heat down here. Back in NJ we ran the AC for a total of maybe one month out of the year while in FL, it's on all year long. When you have temps in the 70's inside and then go outside and are hit with temps in the 90's, you feel the heat even more. Any suggestions on how to get adjusted to my new climate?

Thank, Will. I knew some of these but was unaware of a majority of them even though they seem like common sense. Thanks again, FUD.

Just as I thought. Irvington is thisclose to Newark, and definitely will not be making the "Best Places to Live" list in this lifetime. When it comes to applying for permits & such, I think it helps to live in a town where the GG's at least outnumber the BG's, and the LEO's are a little less suspicious. As much as we all loathe federal control, local control has these nasty kinds of downsides too.

For those not from the area, Newark (site of the famous riots in the 60's) was once described to me by a NJ native as "just like Manhattan - without the nice parts"

RH, I remember the Newark riots well as I lived six blocks from the Newark line. As a boy, I remember the national guard with tanks in the streets. You couldn't call the police because they were under fire themselves. Eventually, they decided to use the Garden State Parkway (a highway which cuts across Irvington with about one fifth of Irvington being on one side with Newark and fourth fifths being on the other side) as a natural barrier where the rioters would not be allowed to cross. My family, however, lived one block from that line on the WRONG side. I was too young to understand the seriousness of the situation but looking back, it was a dangerous spot to be in.

Hey Fud,
I use to live in Elizabeth, then moved to Spotswood, N.J.
Moved out of Jersey 30years ago to PA. That is one of my best moves of my life and my family's life. The next greatest move is to Heaven.
