How to teach my kids to shoot clays?

At age 9 I started my son out with a airsoft rifle. I would toss a 12" box crossing and he learned to lead it pretty fast.

Now at 11, we just started shooting clays at the range with a 870 youth and very light loads. he got a double on skeet a couple of times but his mount is still really incomsistant.

Also, we use a laser 20 ga shell and I toss cardboard across the room and he has to put the laser dot on it as it flies (for indoor practice of the mount).

So, i keep it fun and mix it up for him. Use your imagination and mix it up.

An easier way is to have him simply follow the line where the wall meets the ceiling in a room and see how well he can keep the laser on that line, Trap and skeet targets follow the same line every time (wind notwithstanding) so that really helps a lot.
