How to decock B6P correctly/safely

the decocker on the FAB92 model decocks, but the hammer is not drop safe unless the decocker/safety is left on.

Don't think so.

First, because the decocker isn't left on, and it doesn't work as a safety on the gun(s) in question. If the hammer is cocked, the decocker lowers it; if a safety-equipped gun has it's hammer cocked, the safety locks it back, but, either way, the decocker or safety play no role in making either version of THAT GUN drop safe.

If you go to the EAA site and open their parts list for the B6P, you'll see that the gun IS equipped with a firing pin block, and THAT should make it drop safe. I've never seen a recent steel or polymer-framed gun from EAA based on the Tanfoglio version of the CZ design that doesn't have a firing pin block built in. (The Tanfoglio firing pin block is actually better than the CZ version!, inducing less drag when the trigger is pulled.)

This is true whether the gun is a decocker model or a safety model, as the internal differences are quite small -- and generally all but a few parts are the same!

The firing pin block prevents forward movement of the firing pin UNLESS the trigger is pulled fully to the rear. It's pretty hard to keep the trigger pulled fully to the rear when the weapon has been dropped! If the FAB92 is a close copy of any of the original Tanfoglio versions of the CZ design, it will also include the firing pin block, and it will also be drop safe, whether the safety is on or off or whether the decocker has been used or not.
