How stupid are people in Missouri. . . .see here...

The people of Missouri are not stupid. Missouri is the home of many human powerhouses of individual personal freedom and monumental economic effort.

St. Louis is a reality check. (Get it while you bite nails waiting on Florida results, PLEASE?)

If you do not you miss the whole point of this theater. They are nothing but small urban pockets of cancer!! Rad treatment, bandanas, sunglasses! :)

The rest of MO is pro gun. So is the rest of the UNIVERSE that is not a parasite!!

Pennsylvania is very gun friendly. It's Philadelphia that gives this state a bad name. How can the smaller counties deal with the scum sucking liberals from Philly?

Election fraud in Saint Louis City and County? Yup. Funny how the computers "go down" when the Democrats need to calculate how many votes they need. Keeping the polls open late is an new one.

I live in Saint Louis, in Dogtown. It is within Gephardts district. Voted for Prop B in the last election, and voted for every pro Second Amendment candidate in this one.

Trouble is, I am surrounded by Yellow Dog Democrats. Take a dog, paint it yellow and call it a Democrat, and these people will vote for it. The Republican election judge at my polling place looked like he was cutting class from high school, and was watching the idiot box (television) that was set up in the voting area.

My State Representative, Derio Gambaro wants Saint Louis to be able to make their own firearms laws. Our mayor wants to "outlaw the licensing of rifles capable of firing piercing ammunition," whatever the heck that is.

I vote. I am in Hell surrounded by a bunch of idiots. Just a rant. For those who live in the "gun culture", you don't know how good you have it.

I really don't understand how Mr. Carnahan can be on the ballot but Mrs. Carnahan will be the senator. I thought there were certain requirements to be elected, one: being a resident of the state. Mr. Carnahan is no longer a resident of MO. With his vehement pro-abortion stand, I believe he's now a resident of a much warmer climate, but that would be speculation on my part.

I understand that there's provision for appointing someone to fill out a current term, and sometimes the appointee is the deceased's spouse, but in this case it was before the election, before the term began.

A massive write-in campaign, I can understand (happened with Republican Linda Smith in WA a few years ago), but to actually elect the deceased and *then* do a switcheroo sounds like baloney to me.

It's not just an academic exericse, either. The differences between Carnahan and Ashcroft are enormous. This has vast national implications.

Anyone know if Mrs. Carnahan shares her late husband's views? As strongly as he did?

I repeat what I said and stand by it:

MO gunowners who didn't vote (or voted for the Demoncrats)

ARE THE STUPIDEST PEOPLE IN THE WORLD!!!

(I wish I knew how to make the above bolded to make it clearer).

Demoncrat voter fraud is a given.

Gun owners who don't vote (+50%) is a travesty.

Keep in mind that this is not an indictment of voting gun owners, its an indictment of those gunowners who didn't vote.

You MO voting gunowners stop taking this personally. If you voted and worked to get gunowners to vote, good for you. I maintain that the blame falls squarely on those gunowners who were either too stupid or too lazy to vote or who voted for demoncrats.

Clear?

I believe Senator Kit Bond is still raising heck about the fraud in St. Louis. I don't know what he can do about it though.
Good for him. Its now such a scandal the whole nation is aware of it.

Albin, if what you said is true, about some gun owners not voting, then that IS pretty sad. Well, I'm sure that when Holden takes office, we'll see an end to NICS free private sales of firearms in MO. Also, everyone in this state will have to wrestle with the "Shall I register my AW, or not?" question.

Weimadog! I also live in Dogtown! I'm the guy who has the camo truck that gets parked at Clayton and Berthold... Wanna get together and go plinking?

Guys, St. Louis City would have pushed the election, regardless of how late the polls were open. You gotta realize that the City is only about 250,000 people - We've got a boatload of small municipalities out there, making the several million folks in the metro area. The City always turns in its votes after the rest of the state. Nothing is final until St. Louis spins it.

FWIW, Dogtown's one of the nicer little sections of the city. Sandwiched between wealthier areas and the Italian section (and nobody does crime in the Italian section...).

Well, votin' in dead folks seems political to me; so look for this thread in the Legal/Political forum.
