I prefer to hunt with people I have hunted with for a few years. Gives me time to learn them before we hit the bush. Besides, I don't have time to hunt as much as I'd like, so every second counts. Over the past 3 years I've slowly gotten away from hunting with groups (on line/dogs), and have hunted more with a partner on private property. My hunting partner and I are good friends. We have a few drinks together, discuss handguns, and rifles, different loads weekly. He is ten years older than I am, very knowledgeable about guns in general, and is a darn good shot. He is a good teacher, and I've learned a good deal from him.
