How Picky Are You?

I prefer to hunt with people I have hunted with for a few years. Gives me time to learn them before we hit the bush. Besides, I don't have time to hunt as much as I'd like, so every second counts. Over the past 3 years I've slowly gotten away from hunting with groups (on line/dogs), and have hunted more with a partner on private property. My hunting partner and I are good friends. We have a few drinks together, discuss handguns, and rifles, different loads weekly. He is ten years older than I am, very knowledgeable about guns in general, and is a darn good shot. He is a good teacher, and I've learned a good deal from him.

I like being along when I'm in the woods anyway, and even more so for hunting. I don't know. I've not done a lot of hunting in my life, but when I do it's a very personal thing for me so I prefer to do it alone.

I'm pretty picky...

If it's upland hunting over my dog, I've got to know them extremely well, they must be willing to pass up the shot if my dog is in harms way. If it's Waterfowl, I'll let someone vouch for them. They must be fun and safe for me to go with them a second time.

Guys that take it too serious and get all uptight everytime someone cracks a joke or coughs, don't get to go a second time either (except my brother). I'm out there for the fun of it.

I'm with Scorch. Firearm safety, the laws and your momma isn't here. Whining isn't permitted either.
