How old were you when you killed your first deer?

Won't lie and sure as heck can't brag. I was 22, in home port. Shotgun on military grounds, in South Carolina. ...... :D

Be Safe !!!

8 or 9. Got an Ithaca Mod. 99 (I think) 'BuckBuster' for Christmas. A single shot lever action 12ga. Thing kicked like a mule:eek:. The next year I shot my first deer. A doe.

Still have that shotgun somewhere in the gun safe.

I reckon I was destined to be a little "rebel"... i was 11 toting my 12 year old cousin's michigan "license plate" on my back... We are 8 months apart and he batted a ZERO... I put his license on the back of my insulated vest and went with grampa... I had his .30-30 mdl 94. He had grandma's "springfield .30-06". Shot my buck (4-5or6 point, can't remember) right between the eyes and blew one out, bulged the other...

Hunted deer from the time I was 12 or 13 didn't know I need glasses for years so several deer got very lucky with many near misses. My uncle said more than once he saw the buck shot/slugs give the deer a new hair cut, never wound one though no blood.
Finally got glasses a few weeks after deer season when I was 14 and killed a button buck the next season when I was 15 with a 12g Remington wing master that was my dad’s with buck shot. 18 now and haven't gotten a shot at a legal deer the last two seasons.

I was 25 years old in my work car. In Deer River, MN. Inside the city limits. In a 30 MPH zone.

Boss had to come out and get me.

How old was I?

Hate to admit it, but I was 34 years old before I took my first deer. Big 7 pt. in South Carolina went down on the spot from a .243 (Browning BAR). I was hooked from that second on and have made hunting my number one endeavor/hobby/pastime, etc since then. Now that I am retired, I spend untold hours in a treestand, blind, etc. Bowhunting, muzzleloading, shotgun slug, rifle and any other kind of season I can get away with. Still going strong in my 60's..... Look out deer, Sept starts bowhunting in Georgia!

15. Saw a large doe limping with a bum hind leag and raised by brothers Marlin bolt action 20 ga. Range was about 35 yards.
While field dressing, we found a broadhead in her hip and alot of nasty greenish meat. Didn't even get to eat my first deer, but I will still take a wounded deer if I see one.

Joke heard on Last Comic Stadning................

So I was driving along and this deer jumps out infront of the car. GF yells....Deer and it hits the windshield. Really where I can't see it there is a deer in the windshield. GF then says........Thank god we are ok. Really thank god, that was one of god's creatures and he THREW IT AT US.

16, Dodge pickup in early autumn. Then in November with a 12ga. Ate them both!
The truck faired pretty well, struck the doe in the head with the bumper, but I nearly got taken out by a county deputy while I was dressing the animal. Cops get pretty startled when they see you stagger out of a dark ditch with a bloody knife in your hand.

I was 12 years old I was using my TC Renegade in .54 caliber(my dad put the gun together). The little fork buck came out at about 7 yards kocked it right off its feet and deader than a door nail. I was the only one to get a deer that year. I havent shot that little um I mean big gun since. It hangs above that little tiny 4 point.

I must have been about 13. My dad set me by a tree with a 243 he had for me to shoot. I was half worried he would lose me. He did a push on a patch of woods and this doe came flying out right to me. I thought it was going to run me over.

I pulled up the gun and just saw brown in the scope that thing must have been about 5-8 yards away. I shot and hit it to far back and had to finish it off with another shot.

7, with my birthday present of a nef single shot 20ga.

first slug was a dud. cocked and pulled the trigger 3 times, then opened the barrel, dug a round out of my pocket, loaded up and fired.

little 1yr old doe stood there watching me the whole time! lol

The year, 1966.....15 years old.

I was 22 Years old, I grew up hunting small game but never messed with deer until I got older. Didnt have the patience when I was younger.

28 years old. Bow hunting blacktails. Shot what I thought was a doe (either sex season) until I found it piled up. It was a little button buck.
