How Often Do You Practice With Your Handgun ?
We often practice most with our CCW handguns
on a regular basis-Practice make perfect.....You?

I shoot in either a mon night big bore or a thurs night 22 league. They'll let me shoot a few rounds out of my CCW so I often take advantage of this. I also try shoot an IDPA match at least once a month and try to make a "practice session" at the indoor range once a month. I also shoot at my brothers farm several times a year rifles out to 400 yards. I'll usually shoot handguns at 50 and 100 yards too.

I like cleaning my firearms.

Just how I like handling guns at gun stores, I like handling my own guns.

Cleaning is relaxing and fun.

After I clean em, I work the slide to see how it is, then I love lubing them and pulling the slide back to see how much more smoothly it works after I've applied the grease...

I try to dry fire at least a few minutes every day, sometimes several times a day. I also get out a couple times a week if at all possible. The "once a week" I voted for is usually my minimum goal.

Once/Week

I try to get out to the range every week. Sometimes however it may be 3 weeks before I get there or three times in one week. Depends on what is most pressing for me to do. I like to have the range all to myself, so that sometimes makes a difference. Also depends if I have the ammo I want at home.

I don't have a set schedule, so this one's hard to answer.

Sometimes it's daily, but it runs in spurts. My life requires other obligations sometimes, and it gets hard to get out to shoot.

So, my answer is that it varies. Sometimes daily, sometimes weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly. I shoot when I get the chance, and as long as it's often enough to keep skill level high I don't worry about it too much.

Living 10 miles from Knob Creek allows me to practice a lot, usually at least once a week. Reloading/casting also helps with costs.

I practice everyday with my handgun. Now I don't shoot it everyday but I do practice presentations daily and presentations with dryfire more than once a week.

Making the gun go bang not so much these days with the cost of ammo and all.

Back to basics last night with the Ruger Single Six because I was teaching. I like shooting the 22 a lot because it keeps me sharp with less expense but the teaching works even better than live fire because if I just preached I cant very well stand up to the line to demonstrate and not do what I just told my student to do.

If I am physically able, have the time and it isn't raining or snowing to bad I try and make it every day but I rotated from center fire long guns to rim fire, to shotguns to hand guns to rifles, 7 yards to 100 yards. I try to make each one a little different.

I have old age/disability issues so I can't always get out there. That's why I posted at least once a week although it's usually more often than that.

Same here. No matter what guns I am shooting. Long guns, milsurps, handguns, I always take time to practice with at least one of my CCW guns while I'm there.

That's why I go to a private hunt club/range, or a conservation department unsupervised range. I have a conservation department supervised range close, but it's hard to practice double taps with a range nazi....ah official...timing your shots, and yelling over the intercom if you didn't wait at least 5 seconds between shots!

Cheapshooter, dang! 5secs? I guess they really want y'all to get a nice workout holding the pistol up for all that extra time :D

On topic: I've been getting out at least once a week, now lets see if I can keep that up now that I live in southern California.
