Spot salvage price for brass is $1.70 per pound. Unless I have done the math wrong, selling 9 mm brass for less than $2 a round isn't worth sweeping it up and washing it.
The federal government sells brass in lots of several tons on auctions. Forget sweeping it up, you can possibly buy it by the five ton unit for $1 per pound and sell it at a realistic profit.
I stack up a few of the federal or Winchester every time I visit the range, at least as much as I have fired. Everything else except.45goes right into buckets. I figure that I have almost $200 dollars worth at scrap price and not a person on the planet will buy it at even $150.
