How much have you spent on rifles?

How much have you spent on rifles, rifle scopes, customizing your rifle(s) & such?

So far I have spent less than $3,000.00 excluding ammon and cleaning supplies.

Does this make me a gun nut yet?

I don't think the amount of money you spend is the determining factor to weather you're a gun nut or not.
Simply put a gun nut is somebody who breathes, dreams, talks, and thinks about guns day in and day out.
A gun nut is somebody that hasn't been able to get to the range for a week or two so they have to open the safe and peek at their Earthly possessions.

$3,000? That's it.

I really hate to do this to you Glamdring, but I am afraid $3,000 is mighty lacking. In fact I would guess you must be a card carrying liberal democrat with anything less than $10,000 invested. You might want to try to catch up! ;)

On a serious note, lets think about mine offhand. I just figured the amount I have spent personally on firearms is roughly $8067. That does not include firearms I have inherited nor their actual current value of guns I have purchased off of my father for dirt cheap. This also does not include the ammo for any of the guns, the Dillon RL 550B, Liberty gun safe, or any of the magaiznes and other accesories I have. I would estimate the actual value closer to $15,000 to $20,000. Heck that is fairly impressive for a 24 year old. I guess the fact that I am not married and still drive my 1994 Nissan Sentra XE helps out quite a bit.

I have spent more on handguns and not nearly enough on rifles.

Give or take, it's about $2800 for me. But I like what I've gotten, and am pretty stinking good with all of them! :p

I live, eat, breathe, chew, and spit rifles every moment of the day. Sometimes gets in the way of work and relationships:D (ever heard of a guy having problems with his AK scope mount take a day off work to fiddle with it? - nothin to be proud of).

As long as we're not adding in ammo, reloading supplies & equipment, or range supplies and contraptions, I'm happy to report that money-wise I'm only at about $5000. I do alot of trading and I do all my own half-ass smithing(emphasis on 'ass').

I haven’t spent a dime on rifles. I have however, invested several thousands on mental health tools. The confusion comes because those tools look a whole lot like rifles.:D

Let's just put it this way... for what I have spent on guns, I could OWN my house, truck, and everything, free and clear, and then likely have enough to buy myself a nice hunting property... (with a gun range on it)

Kinda surprising when you got me to ading it all up...

Just my RELOADING equipmet is over $4000. Rifles? Pistols? I refuse to answer on the grounds that my answer may tend to embarass me.

I just bought a Winchester 70 in 30.06 and a Leupold scope. That and an SAR-1 have set me back around $1200. I guess I must be one of those Liberal Democrats El Rojo spoke of... :)

You can change Birdhunter!

I have faith in you NewBirdHunter. You don't have to be a liberal for long. Just start building when you can. You can make a difference in this world and it all starts with a new rifle! After that buy another one. :D

Enough to make my lawyer nervous...

when I did my divorce earlier this year. Good thing was, over $30K in guns in the collection, but the ex-wife managed to get only a Norinco 1911 and a .30-30 Savage 340. Whew!:)

Sounds just fine to me. What's wrong with that?

I would just replace AK with HK. :p

Of course if it was an HK, you wouldn't have had any problems with the scope mount. :p :D

Hard to say..but I'm pretty sure I belong in the "club" (probably somewhere between Target Shooter and yankytrash). So far I haven't had to take off a day from work just to fiddle with one of em. I do know I like to bug out early when possible to find new ones :D

oh Jeez I am nailed

Honey is that you? How did you find this site? I will never tell, but if you are my wife 150 dollars I swear, I got the rest at garage sales!
