How much does your range charge?

I searched a bit and didn't see any treads like this so I thought I would ask.

What does the range you go to charge per hour?

The local range I go to charges $25 per hour unless you have paid for a membership (3 month $100, lifetime $200), then it's $25 for the day.

Please keep in mind that I live in the burbs outside of NYC so I have a feeling my prices may be a bit higher than in other parts of the country.

Thanks

I pay 35.00 for the year....Use it about any time you want to.Even has a 50 foot indoor pistol range..I just wish it was bigger. One can only shoot out to 257 yards...

Mine's an indoor-only military range. 25 yds max distance, 14 lanes, automated target deployment/retrieval. $8/hour, or a one-year membership is $90. With a membership, you can bring guests for free as well. For a flat $5 fee, you can rent as many of their handguns you want (shoot one, return it, get another, etcetera). Rifle rentals work the same way, but the fee is $10.

I pay $85 /year. You get the combination to the front gate and can shoot any time between 10 AM and sundown. First-come...First-served, but I only rarely need to wait to shoot. We have these ranges:
25/50 yard pistol
skeet/trap
archery
25 foot pistol/combat
100 yard rifle
50 yard .22/black powder/pistol caliber carbine
No Range-Masters, so it's pretty relaxed. We usually police our own offenders.
If anyone's interested, we're in Chester County, PA.

Indoor range: (about 5 blocks from my house)
$100 per year (plus you have to me a NRA member), nothing bigger than .44mag, no .17, only rifles .22lr, 25yds max, 6am-10pm

Outdoor range: (about 45 miles from my house)
$36 per year, 100yds max, shoot anything/anytime you want

Indoor range 15 min from the house: $17/day or $135/yr.

Outdoor range with 300yrd rifle range, 30min away: $100/yr + NRA membership

Outdoor range with skeet, but only 100yrd rifle range, also 30 min away: $15 LA wild stamp or hunting license & WMA stamp (it's on a WMA)

I never should have asked.

The place I go to is an indoor underground 50" range with poor ventilation.
Lucky me.
I think there is one club locally that has an outdoor range but I'm not really interested in being in a club and doing club stuff.

$14 for one person with one gun, unlimited range time. Each additional person (up to three total on one lane) is $4 and each additional gun (also up to three on a single lane) is $5. It's a 50 foot pistol bay with like 12 lanes and i believe a 75 or 100 yard rifle bay with another 6 lanes.

$20.00 all day at an indoor range, $10.00 on Fridays (very busy), in suburban Chicago. The good thing is you don't have to buy their ammo, which can be expensive. I wish we had some of those Texan ranges here.

As I read these posts I have to come to the conclusion that I've got it good!

I pay $45/yr membership fee. There is a life membership available at $700. They both include unlimited use (8am till dark) of the following:

25 to 300yd rifle range
50yd max pistol range
20-100yd outdoor archery range
trap range - If you're throwing your own clays its free. If you use the automated throwers and the club's clays its $3.50 per round of 25.
It also provides free use of the clubhouse whenever its open and not rented for private parties - which is about 50% of the time I'm shooting.
Then there's an indoor archery range available for $3.00/hr. Sporting clays for $14.00 per session,
My kids can go join the Jr. Trap league for free in summer - basically show up with a gun and the club will provide three boxes of ammo and three rounds of clays free for minor children of members.

There are no "gun limits" as in one gun per person etc. No shooter limits (my $45 membership is a family membership so my entire nuclear family can use the facility) and there are no range officers but we typically police our own anyway.

Nothing, I shoot on BLM ground, its free, the ranges around here with one exception are scarier than a herd of Rosie O'Donnels after they ran out of chocolate.:eek:

Jack squat zero. :D Private land, private range. Shoot when, what, and at what ever I feel like. Shooting range from zero to about 175 yards where I have backstop at. Over a mile of hardwoods between shooting range and the nearest house.

I've been meaning to try out the indoor range at a local gun shop, basically just for kicks, but haven't gotten 'round to it.

500 member private shooting club. Full years dues required: $120.00 for men members under age 65.-- 65 and older. Gents $60.00. Woman members always $40.00. Offers everyone unlimited use of the facility including their guests. If there is a scheduled event and the public is allowed entrance. Everyone attending is expected to pay a small Cover Charge at the gate. General Public and Members both. Very nice facility. Once on the list of applicants? May take up to a year or more to become a member.

A big fat $0. I go to a Bass Pro and the Range Master is a CCW holder and lets me shoot for free. I assume it's because I too have a CCW permit. I just lucked out I guess.

Around $25 per hour. It is the only indoor range in town. Next closest range is 45 minute drive and they know it. I can shoot outside for free at a friend's rural property, so I just use the range when I feel like shooting on a rain day.
