You probably do need a shorter front sight. Numrichs may still have it in stock. Check the parts list for the 3914 as well as they both use the same front sights.

All of my 39XX series guns are most accurate with 147 grain rounds. They all shoot Winchester RA9B best. But every 147 grain round I run through them shoots to POA. Good luck! Hope this helps! Regards 18DAI
