how many rounds of a new kind of ammo before you have confidence in it?

I have now fired 100 rounds of Federal Hydra-Shok through my P220. I fire of my carry ammo after about six months and replace it with new production ammo. The reason I buy SIG Sauer pistols is so I don't have to wait until I have 200 rounds of a particular cartridge fired through the gun to know if it will work. The only other brand of handgun that has given me that kind of reliability has been Glock.

That is a good site. I agree with everything they do. I also note they end up using twice as much ammo as the 200 rounds I recommended and which got me many flames.

BTW, the function check is also a good "how to" for checking out an auto pistol one may be planning to purchase.
