How many guys/gals here are 357sig converts & why?

My USP40c and 229 40s are more accurate than my G31/32. The SIG/USP are more accurate in 357, but I only notice when I slow down to punch holes in paper at longer ranges, something I rarely do. Up close and fast there is no difference I can see.

Exterior ballistics are a match for the 125 Magnum (125/1350+), but not the terminal ballistics (10-12/.50(f)). The Fed, Speer, older Rem, and Hornady 357SIG loads in terms of penetration and expansion are closer to the 140-158 Magnums (14-16/.60). Which is just dandy too?

The CorBon, Triton, Ranger T, newer Rem 357SIG loads do look like the 125 Mag, but so do the 135 40s. I doubt the bad guys can tell the difference?

I like it a lot, but I have to admit to shooting/carrying the 40 more instead of the 357 simply cuzz it makes less noise and it's cheaper. :)

I am with DennisE. I am not sure I am a convert. It's a fun gun to shoot. I think it is great leo caliber, especially for the state troopers. For me, over penetration is a real concern and therefore I tend to shy away from the .357 for self defense. I own the P239 in .357. I believe the caliber is here it stay.

I own 2 Glocks in .357 sig...a 32 and a 35 with a KKM .357 Sig Barrel. Like some other folks have said, these are my fun guns. Great "report" at the range(does turn heads) and is nuts on accurate, even in the hands of a mediocre shooter such as myself.

The 35 with the Sig barrel does send some serious heat downrange. :)

I find the recoil to be more comfortable and managable to me than my 32 with a 23 barrel in it. Go figure :)
