How many guns do you own??

I have two safes with:

(13) 1911's in .45 acp, .38 super and one 10 mm
(11) other types of semi-auto pistols and revolvers
(14) rifles which include (2) pre-ban AR's and (1) .50 BMG
(4) Shotguns

Obviously, I'm not married.

Just shy of 75, last I counted. Things just took off once I got my C&R FFL, they're so habit-forming! Friday's payday, and I just got the SOG flyer, looks like a No5Mk1 Jungle Carbine's next...
 
My wife asked me that question a few
weeks ago. I paused, thought a moment and
told her I didn't know.
She thought I was pulling her leg until
I asked her how many pairs of shoes she
owns. Stopped her cold!
 
Sadly, in a fit of despair following the post convention Democrap poll bump, I threw all mine in the river. Now I don't own any but I wish I was in a country which allowed them. ;)

Around the place where I work, everyone pretty well knows where my interests lie, and I get asked that question a lot;what I always tell them is the honest truth: I simply don't know! Ihave for at least the last 12 years been very careful NOT to ever count them or even form an estimate or number in my mind. That way I can never, in a moment of carelessness, let slip information which is certainly none of their business,but which even I obviouslydon't need to have at hand!

Lemme see.... (gonna change in a month when I buy three or four more with my upcoming bonus):

4 handguns

4 rifles

2 shotguns

I am SO undergunned!

The total is going to grow by at least two rifles and one handgun, and probably another shotgun as well, when the aforementioned bonus comes in mid-October.

My wife doesn't believe me, but I am quite serious. When I get those last few firearms, I'm done buying them. I wrote out a list a few years ago, and I have almost worked my way through it.

And then it's time to start with the reloading equipment.
