How many firearms have you bought this year so far.

surprisingly only 2 this year!

A Smith and Wesson shield 9mm
Ruger sr1911

Last year I bought 6
The year before I had bought 9

Next for me is something with a double action trigger in 9mm as a bedside home defense gun/occasional concealed carry piece

This year so far 11.

used Mossberg 800- purchased to replace one I once owned, cheap
used Marlin 882SS- purchased to replace one I once owned, reasonable
new Taurus No View- purchased to satisfy my curiosity, cheap
used Hi Point 45 carbine- purchased because I have a 9mm, stupid cheap
used Revelation 310- purchased to replace one I once owned, cheap
new Colt Govt. 1911- purchased as a gift for my oldest son, reasonable
used Kimber Custom II- purchased to satisfy my quest for fun, very cheap
used Ted Williams 43- purchased to commemorate days of my youth, cheap
used Cimarron 1897- purchased to satisfy my quest for fun, very cheap
new Ruger GP100 Talo- purchased as possible gift for my youngest, reasonable

After actually listing them I'd say it's time for me to slow down.

To those of you who don't think the feds don't patrol these sites, or the rest of the interwebs, just need to look at Calguns.:(

Nice to see i am not the only one buying guns. You realize that when you buy a gun from a FFL and fill out a 4473 that GUN IS LINKED TO YOU FOR LIFE. iT IS NOT A SECRET. :D

Somebody is buying guns. Look at Gunbroker sometime. Yes, I buy guns too. I used the money I saved by not buying tinfoil to wrap around my head when I am on the internet. You are worried about the "Government" scanning gun web sites? They ("Government") can't even catch a terrorist that was REPORTED to them. TWICE.

I'm seriously considering an AR in the very near future.
There's probably plenty of others who are thinking the same thing - might need an AR even if the thought never crossed their minds before.
Just 'cause some politician says they shouldn't have one.

None, sadly, as I am not currently legally allowed to do so (stationed overseas and all that jazz).

As much as I'd love to be able to buy a number of firearms, I'll have to be content with just buying upgrades and modifications for my existing rifles and hand guns.

I hope we win this latest battle for our gun rights, it'll be quite some time before I'm legally allowed to purchase a firearm again I suspect.

Unfortunately after all my guns were lost in a tragic boating accident, in a very deep lake, I have not replaced anyof them. But I know a guy, who's uncle's neighbor works with a guy that told him he is getting very close to completing his short list with his three purchases this year.:D

I am relieved that I am NOT the only person that has made the silly mistake of loading my entire gun collection, ammo included, onto an unstable kayak and then capsized over deep water while fishing.

I am too embarrassed to file an insurance claim.

Right after the boat sank with all my guns, I discovered that I didn't need pickups and SUVs anymore, so I traded them in for Prius's and Smart Cars.
I don't know the plural of Prius

Just one..... And probably won't get another for about 2 years.... Unless my financial situation changes, & then all bets are off!

It just happened

I bought 4 guns last year with no intention of buying any more. I figure a dozen should be enough for anyone.

Then my cousin's widow offered to give me her husbands very old Saturday night special 38 snub nosed revolver. That was one I didn't expect.

Then, when I was selling my old car last week, the owner had an old pump shotgun like I always wanted and offered it in trade. He offered to trade me the old J. C. Higgins shotgun, 1,685 rounds of 22lr and a box of shotgun bird shot for a $200 discount on the car. I now have a really old shotgun I don't need.

I have acquired 2 guns of very little value this year but at a very little cost.
