how many calibers do you own?

I currently have .357 and 9mm. I am getting a new carry gun and have been debating going to .380 and just hate the fact that I need to invest in more ammo in another caliber - ugh, and 380 is more money than 9mm and less available.

So how many different calibers do you have? I assume its much easier to stick with one:D

9mm, 10mm, 45ACP, 44 mag, 357mag, and 380 in handguns.

When it comes to carry guns primarily 9mm and it is shot far, far more than all others combined. I have a 380 Kel-Tec for those times when it has to be really small. I don't shoot the 380 nearly as much so cost and availability of ammo isn't that big of a deal.

The 10mm is the 2nd most popular, but still far behind 9mm as far as volume of shots fired. I have a G-20 and G-29 for hiking, camping and general outdoor use. They are not carried nearly as much, but serve a very specific and important role.

The 45's and magnum revolvers are range toys and investments. Not shot a lot, but not for sale. At least not yet.

I have more calibers than most people have guns. :)

That said, I just got rid of my final 600 rounds of .380 and all other things associated with it. The .380 pistol went bye-bye and I went with a 9mm instead. In fact I have added 4 9mms this year, and a pretty wide spread at that. For us, the .380 no longer made sense and replacing it with a 9mm made sense from several perspectives.

There are a lot of good 9mms out there, from 12 ounces to 40+ ounces. Shop around and see if something meets your needs staying with .38 spl or 9mm.

Handgun is 45ACP, 9mm, 357mag, 25ACP and 22LR. Seeing others post I realized I missed the 25ACP. :)

2 9mm handguns and a .22 rifle. For me its about keeping it simple. I may get a .380 in the future, but I keep going back and forth between a TCP and a BP9. I like the idea of a little pocket gun, but the practicality of keeping it in the same caliber may well win out. Then again, let's be honest, I will probably end up getting both, eventually. That, and I will likely be getting a larger revolver in either .357 or .44 for my upcoming trip to Alaska.

Hmm....
22lr
32
7.62x25
380
9x19
9x18
40
357 Sig
357 Mag
38 Special
40 S&W
10mm
45

So, 13 I guess.

Although realistically, 95% of what I shoot is 9mm.

I have handguns in the following calibers:

9mm (7)
10mm (1)
40 (3)
45 (1)

I like all the calibers listed above.

At first I thought I'd standardize on a single handgun caliber - 9mm so that I could share ammunition between all my pistols. I see the attraction of that, but in my mind there are advantages to having multiple calibers. One of the biggest advantages is when there is a buying panic for whatever reason. After the Newtown shootings I remember months where I couldn't find 9mm anywhere. During that time I could almost always find 40 caliber. I'll never forget that.

I plan on getting into reloading. I think I'll acquire more 10mm and 45 handguns once I start reloading.

Handgun - 22LR, .22 Mag, .25ACP, .30-30 Ackley Improved, .32ACP, .32 S&W, 9mm, .38 S&W, .38 Special, .357 Mag, .38 Colt, .38-40, .35 Remington, 10mm, .44 Special, .44 Mag, .45 ACP, .45 Colt.

May have missed a couple. Reload for all of them except the .22. Can't believe that I don't have a .380ACP.

I haven't found that to be the case.;)

38 special, 357 Mag, 9mm, 9mm Mak, 22lr, and 22 WMR are the calibers I have handguns chambered in. I have small stashes of .45 and .380 ammo and currently nothing in either caliber. For rifles/shotguns it is: 5.56/.223, 7.62x39, .308, 12 gauge, 16 gauge, .35 Remington, 22lr, and 7.5x55 Swiss.

I try to keep it simple but effective. .45, 9mm, and .22. That fits all my needs. I do have an AK "pistol" in .223, but I don't count that one.

Let's see..
22 LR
32ACP
38 S&W
38 Special
.357 Magnum
.41 Magnum
.44 Special
.44 Magnum
.45 ACP
.45 (Long) Colt.
I have never reloaded 380 ACP, have reloaded 9MM, probably not much difference.

.22LR
.223
7mm Rimmed
.280 Rem
.30 Carbine
.300ACC Blackout
7.62X39
7.65X54R
.303 British
30/06
.358 Norma Mag
.380
9mm Luger
.357 Mag
.44 Mag
.44AMP
.45ACP
.45 Colt.
No wonder the safe is so damn full!

.22 / .380 / 9mm / .38 spl / .357 Mag / .40 S&W / .45 acp / .44 Mag

( so I think I'm covered )...

but I reload my range ammo ....so its not a big deal...( my carry gun caliber 99% of the time is .45 acp )....and once in a while a .40 S&W or a 9mm ....( so I do stock a couple of boxes of "carry ammo" in all 3 calibers )...

its only my opinion but rather than a .380 I'd suggest you stick with 9mm ....just based on cost alone, since you don't reload, it'll save you money and hopefully let you practice more...( I'm not sure why I keep the .380 ...and I don't shoot it hardly at all - I just have one gun, a Sig P238 SAS in .380 ..it was an impulse buy...nice little gun ..)
