Well I FINALLY got a chance to run some of my minuscule 44 special rounds today. I only had a few minutes before a rifle competition but I got off several cylinders.
At 4.0 grains of titegroup with a 200 grain bullet the recoil was very minimal, just right for when the neices and nephews want to shoot the "big gun"
At 4.5 grains the sooting was reduced by quiet a bit with only nary an increase in recoil. This may be the loading I end up running. I did notice less sparking vs the 4.0 grain load which tells me along with the soot count that these are happier loads.
Ive yet to put either in a solid rest to test accuracy but initial berm trials are showing good results.
Thanks for the help to all who took the time to comment.
