Whoa!

Some of y'all are way more advanced (of have more money) than me!

I'd like a Kahr 9mm to displace my Bersa 380 and wouldn't mind replacing my XD9 with some sort of .40 or .45...

Jeff B.

I only have one on my immediate list, and that's a 4 or 5 1/2" Redhawk in .45 Colt. I really wish Ruger made it in .454 Casull, I'm not getting and dragging around that boat anchor Super Redhawk just to get the .454 cartridge.

My list is getting pretty small thanks to my intense buying these last 2 years.
..still thinking about a 1917 Eddyfield rifle.
Just thought of one more..a Colt snubnosed revolver.

Only two right now.

A .455 Webley MKanything...

And a Ruger SRH .454 with the barrel shortened so that the front sight base starts at the frame extension (roughly 4"), with a shiny black finish (black nickel? something else?), and chunky walnut grips. Probably some trigger work and a .45acp moonclip conversion as well.

Both look like treacherously expensive propositions, so it will probably be a while before I can get the ball rolling. Sucks.

probably the key here is where you are "at" in your buying / collecting... I already had a good collection going, several years ago, when my wifes dad died, & left us his collection as well...

combining both, means I now have several that are just safe queens, & have most calibers covered with at least one fire arm...

... that doesn't mean I've quit buying though... but my list is lots shorter...

lately I've begun collecting old single shot rifles, so another 3-4 of them aught to get me the calibers I think I need... I'm wantng to build a stainless composite bolt action hunting rifle battery, I "need" another 3-4 in various calibers to cover pretty much any type of hunting... there is one semi auto hand gun on my list... that is the FN 5.7( it's unique enough to get a revolver guy to buy ) ... a couple more revolvers a stainless single action 22 ( Ruger ), & a pair of S&W's one a 6" barreled 610, & one a 4" barrel 500 S&W...

after that I could probably quit buying... but likely will just have to make a new list...

Not a large list really:

1-A pair of matching Ruger New Model Blackhawk Convertible (9mm/.357) SA Revolvers.
2-A Ruger MKIII Hunter .22 lr.
3-Perhaps another .38+p snub, just for kicks; so long as it's not a S&W.
4-A Ruger 10/22, so I can finally put my old Marlin 60 to rest.

I have most of the pistols that I want so my list is pretty short.

I know wishing is fun...

But, considering the thread is in General handguns, we probably shouldn't put or rifle wishes in here. Its a small matter, really, just something that irks me personally. Start a wish list in Rifles, and put them there.

No real list -- persay -- but if I run into something at a good price or something I've been dreaming of & the gun buying gods are smiling on me, I usually try to buy it -- that''s how I ended up w/ my Python, my HK4, my S&W mod 17 and my Marlin 336

I've been trying to shrink my list of wants down lately, either through purchasing or talking myself out of them. Presently, I have more than a half-dozen, so I am reluctant to buy any more without thinning down what I have. Problem is, I just like them all!

What I am interested in though:

Ruger SP101 .327 3"
10mm auto (likely an EAA Witness)
22 handgun, haven't settled on one.

and a few rifles I can think of, but I am more interested in pistols right now.

Very Short.

9mm, 45 ACP, 40 S&W bullets (at least a bulk order of 3000 each, I'm a reloader)
10K small and large pistol primers (technically just two things)
4-6 high cap mags for G34, G35, XD 45.

List is short these days, after my wife bought me the last 2. A G29 for Christmas and I'll think of something for my birthday, and after that I'll be content.

For a while, anyways.:D

I'm content with learning to shoot what I have as well as I can. Wishing to me is tough; why drive myself mad with dreams of what I can't have? Short of an unforeseen inheritance, it's all pie in the sky!

I would like to get a 5" GP100 in SS and kick myself often for passing on the one fine specimen I did see.
