How is SAKO pronounced?

I've heard SAKO pronounced with a long A like make and I've heard the A pronounced like socko . . . which is correct? Thanks.

Finns I have known have said sah koh, clipping the vowel sounds far more sharply than most Americans do. (Does not rhyme with toe, show, blow, hoe, etc.)

Sock-o if you live in Finland. Say that here and most people won't know what you are talking about. While Sock-o is technically correct most here pronounce it Sake-o

If I'm ever in Finland, I'll mimic the way the Finlanders say it. Until then, it's Sock-O.

The important thing here in the US is that other folks know what you are talking about.

In Canada, it's important that they know what you are talking aboot, eh?

.

Sah-ko, Sock-o, is proper (or at least a close approximation of how a native speaker would say it)

Sako is a name, and as such had a "right" way to pronounce it.

A friend of mine says "Say-ko", to which I reply, "Seiko is a watch!":D

A poor man like me pronounces it "Tikka"

But seriously, I say "Say-ko" but I've heard others say it the other way and I'm probably wrong.

I pronounce Sako as
"sub-minute of angle all day long."

Requires a healthy wallet to translate. Elegant functional design, too.

A poor man like me pronounces it "Tikka".

Mine is a Tikka T3 Lite stainless in .204 Ruger - it's a tack driver for sure.
