How does 10mm compare to .41 magnum?

The semi-auto proponents have rightly pointed out the fact that we need to compare a 4" revolver with a 5" semi-auto

really? Because from my experience a 5 inch auto have more FPS than a 5 inch revolver of the same caliber I have seen 9mm and 357magnum in both revolvers and autos.

I think the semiauto platform is superior (as far as bullet speed) to the revolver. I know my 5 inch Coonan Classic will out perform my 5 Inch S&W by about 75FPS depending greatly on the ammo, though there is technically more barrel on the revolver. May be its the cylinder gap?

You know, it's funny, I was thinking about swapping my Model 29 and looking for a 610 today. That way, I could share ammunition with my Gock 20.

For me, it's an issue of ammunition logistics, otherwise, I'm fairly certain either cartridge could probably do the job.

I'd go with a 610 if I owned a .40 S&W or 10mm automatic pistol, that way ammunition/reloading components could be shared. Otherwise, I'd probably buy a .41 (or .44 in my case) since it's probably more versatile.
