how do you store your pistol ammo?

I load as much of it (as possible) into spare magazines, so it's ready to go to the range. The rest I leave in the factory boxes and put an average assortment into my range bag. The rest is just left in the boxes in a closet.

If I have several boxes of the same caliber in smaller boxes (50rd 9mm fmj for example) sometimes I'll rubberband or tape the boxes together to keep them from shifting around in my range bag. (Ammo cans are cool but heavy and bulky for my use as a recreational shooter.) If I plan to shoot alot if ammo, I'll either just take a bigger bag or a backpack.

Plastic MGM Caseguard 50 and 100 round boxes keep ammo neat, and stack/store easily. Somewhat more compact than factory boxes, and they'll last for decades.

But I'm a handloader, so factory boxes don't do it for me at all.
