This my Smith and Wesson "Pre 27". It is from 1953 or '54, back when they were just called The "Three Fifty Seven Magnum", before the number designations.

5 inch barrel. It is wearing Herrett "Skeeter" grips.

N frame=good.

:D

How do I like the N-Frame Smiths.......

Well, I absolutely love my Model 28-2. I bought it originally for load testing, and now I use it as my primary hunting backup. Wouldn't trade it for the world. Now, I just need to get off my can and get a set of Herrett's Jordan Trooper stocks made up for it to replace the Pachmayr grips and I'll be content.

I remember hearing the N frames were too big for the .357 back in the '80's. If I had known then what I know now  I'd have more 3 1/2" .357's..

Make sure you have good grips, clean & load 'em. Then go shoot. :D
