How did carbines get so expensive?

Well, dunno about you guys but I'm grateful as hell that Beretta doesn't make their Cx4 Storm carbines to use 30 round .45 ACP magazines instead of their pathetic little 8 round 8045 Cougar magazines.

Because if they did I'd have to drop everything and run out and buy one or two of them.

These things are slick. As small carbines they are tiny - more like long barreled pistols with shoulder stocks. One of these things firing 30 rounds of .45 ACP would be about an ideal home defense weapon, and of course - like everything these days - you can add as many lasers, flashlights, red dots, and other gizmos as you want on all the rails. They're like Psycho Barbie for Men... :D

These things look like they'd be a hoot to shoot, so it's a darned good thing these carbines cost a grand or so and only have 8-round magazines. Thank you, Beretta, for saving me from myself.

(Otherwise, I agree - carbine prices, along with many other firearm prices, have taken some significant upturns over the past 24 months...)

Yes too high for me. I went and got a mini 14 from CDNN for 595, tactical version.

It goes bang every time, and I am happy as all hell with it. I only wish the barrel was 20 inch, and the magazines we 15 bucks cheaper each...
