How can you shoot 1MOA @ 100 yards w/ open sights?

For precise aiming with iron sights, I do not like the round "bullseye" targets. You can do fairly well with them using a 6 O'Clock hold but they aren't the best.

What I'd recommend is the target known as the "Canadian Bull". This is what the military used to use on their 25 METER (1000 INCH)TARGET. You can easily scale this target up to the range you a shooting and the width of your front sight.

If your front sight has a "bead", use the top center of the bead for precise aiming.

Sight radius also has a great deal to do with iron sight aiming precision.

I have shot 1MOA at 200/300 yards with open sites, using a stock Colt AR15 HBAR, in National Match Courses. Still that rifle is better than I am :D
