Nope. They were alive & kickin' There's a cemetery here that backs up against a large abandoned farm, & the place has more deer than a mangey old coyote has fleas. There's a little old lady that drives there to put out salt, bread & corn at the same time every day. These boys were usually waiting . Of course, the crowd also resulted in a few arguments.
My uncle has shot two Albino deer in NC, one of which he donated to a restaurant that is filled with all kinds of stuffed animals. He still has the other one, and I'll see if I can get a pic of it.
I hunted Whitetail, Mule Deer & Pronghorn in November 1998. We hunted the tri state area of Montana, Nth & Sth Dakota. The nearest town was Alzada, Montana. Alien tags cost us a heap, about $1000 per animal. Great hunt, cold as the proverbial. Magnificent scenery, saw Beaver & were amazed at the tree's they cut down. Just like the cartoons. Saw a Badger caught in a trap.
I always thought a doe one one side of he fire place with a buck on the other would just be nice, and not overdone like a trophy room. The question that should have also been asked with the (show us your pictures question) we should have been asked at what distance did we take the shot. Some people really go all out and work hard to find a buck like a few of those. While others just get lucky on opening day of season. I've never had to take a deer over a hundred yards.
