How about a 9mm Makarov for CCW

What Skadoosh said

The P-64 has a trigger guard that has a reltively sharp bottom edge.

I have one in 9mm Mak and one in .380. The .380 is more fun to shoot.

First i love shooting all of my Combloc pistols, however, they were designed as combat weapons and as such are simple, robust and reliable. What the also are is heavy, i can find many more modern pistols in my safe that are easier to carry yet provide a similar punch.
I have a lot of fun shooting the pistols, but i will bow to others who want the Mak for every day carry and stick to my Sig P 238.

Plenty of people carry .380s, so the marginally better 9 Mak is just as good. My CZ 82 rides in my car, while it's sibling, a CZ 83 chambered in .380, rides on my hip.

I find the 83 a comfortable carry gun. Yes, there are lighter guns, but they don't have the capacity nor are as pleasant to shoot.

Limnophile, Agree the CZ 82 is one finely engineered pistol, i have several which have never failed to fire even with Brown Bear crappy steel case ammo. For me the size and weight are just a bit excessive for concealment in my case. A few years back, prior to retirement i would have loved this pistol over the PPK i did carry in LE where i carried concealed always. On paper my 82's will print large connecting groups at fifteen yards and inside a three inch bull at 25 from a support. I just received a couple of Bulgarian Mak's and once i put a few hundred through them to loosen things a bit i will see what they will do on paper.

I carry a Bulgarian Makarov almost all the time. Yes, it is heavy, but not too heavy, IMO. I also have a commercial Mak in .380 that I use as a range gun. I could have other guns for concealed carry if I wanted, but I prefer the Makarov.
