Concur that bluing salts can burn. Faceshield, apron and rubber gloves are a must when one is doing hot salt bluing. Hot salts will burn through clothes and shoes. We wear tall rubber rain boots when we blue. Buy once and don't have to have your regular boots/shoes with holes in the leather.
