Homes marked as gun free homes

How about this:

Speaking of signs that advertise what you have worth stealing, there was an article about a worrisome fellow who took the Y2K (if you remember that) thing a little too seriously. He went so far as to buy up some land in the middle of nowhere, USA, and stocked up with everything needed to survive. There were other people living around there, of course, and they were all armed. But he was armed, too. He was away for a while for some reason and someone broke into his house and stole half his guns. He said he couldn't get over the fact they only stole half his guns. Makes you wonder.

Forget the sign’s. We don’t need no stinking sign to tell where the evil gun owners are. No sir!
Better idea is have your local news paper print a map showing the addresses of all the gun owners, permit holders and back ground checks in their local.
Great idea?
Well the Journal News of New York's Westchester and Rockland counties thought it was a wonderful idea. They figured that it would decrease the number of guns.
Seems they got so many threats and criticism that they had to hire armed guards to protect the editor. They called it there “interactive where-the-guns-are map” and “name-and-shame campaign”.
They don’t say where they got the information.
This was reported in MSN.
What do you think the chances of lawsuits are?
This same thing happened here in Indiana a year ago, just names no addresses. And they got sued.

About the only sign I would post to advertise the alarm company. I don't want anything to suggest whether I am armed or not.

God created man; Sam Colt made them equal.

Great old advertising line. It could be modernized for the feminists: God Made Man, Colt Made Woman Equal.

About the only sign I would post to advertise the alarm company.

A friend who owns an alarm company gave me stickers for his business. I placed them on all the doors. Then picked up an old beat up 8mm camera and stuck it in a small wooden box so only the lens sticks out and painted it black, hung it on eves above the rear door.:p

I have been advised in the past to put up signs for a different alarm company. It deters some, while convincing others to look for the wrong detection gear.
