Home Gun & Man Cave Room

You'd have to check the laws in your state, but I think a tiger or a bear would be pretty cool to put in a man cave. It would shock the crap out of any visitors as well. LOL

Whatever your choice, do NOT overlook the three primary REQUIRED items for any Man Cave....

A coffee pot;

A cooking source....

and bacon. Much bacon. LOTS of bacon.

:D

Two inch THICK steel plating? Around the entire basement including floor and ceiling? Tell me I misunderstood what you wrote.

PC: Need a heavy duty case, and water cooled so fans don't blow metal particulate matter into the PC. This is a real problem for gunsmiths/metal workers. Only fans blowing out at the top of the case away from components. Similar product:

You need an UPS as well for power loss, so you don't lose your computer. (Amazon.com search for UPS).

Self powered emergency lights if you loser power at night. Probably just one double bulb.

A Fridge.

Ive seen a few different coffee tables/display cases made from surplus rifle crates. Im sure you could find a tutorial somewhere. They look really nice.

I saw that too ... beyond the expense, the weight ... Oh my!

1" thick steel weighs ~40# a square foot. :eek:

In addition to the previously suggested beer, you need a serving wench to serve it. And she should probably clean the place up too. And do other things as required.

My wife says she shouldn't have to clean weapons. That's a man's job.

If you seal yourself in there too good, you'll need air/ventilation & food. (not to mention a toilet facility)

In a run of the mill 12x12 room that equates to approximately 11,800 lbs of steel hanging from the ceiling, close to 35 TONS of steel to do that plus 4 walls and the floor. If I read the original post correctly it was the entire basement, not just a room. Could be wrong there but even if....35 TONS. Hmmm.
