And the funny thing is that Pappy actually had some interesting information there about putting nail polish around the cap to waterproof the gun.
That was something I had never heard or or thought of before. My only question would be if it made the cap hard to get off the gun. Thinking about it, I would imagine that the cap, like most caps, would split when fired and break the bond of the nail polish.
I don't mind sharing of information, as I come here for learning and fun and to relax from work or the kids from time to time. I just mind somebody calling me out to I.D. myself as with internet crimes rampant, I don't want to make myself a target.
(side note: from time to time, as a cop, we got burglars that would look in the obituaries to see who died and when the funeral was. They figured that was the perfect time to strike, and generally, it was. Do I need somebody to target my home and my guns because they know who I am? Nope. Do I care if anybody here knows who I am in real life? Nope. Am I going to tell anybody willy-nilly who I am? Nope.
So come on back Pappy, just understand the rules of the game here. Safety on the range, safety on the internet. (Cause for all I know, you could be that kid from New York City and you stole your Dad's or uncle's card and posted it here).
The Doc is done pontificating now.
