Thank goodness. In the last two elections, the Repub had a thorn in his side (the Reform candidate), which drew votes more or less only from him. Now the tables are turned, and the Dem guy has to deal with someone to his left taking votes away. That's what happens when you abandon your base to run to the center.
 
I just want to say, Karl Marx was not a communist, he was a philosopher. Communism as Marx predicted has never appeared anywhere on earth. The USSR was socialist, but more of an aristocracy, with the elites running the country. Cuba is a Fascist country. I can't think of any country that has Communism as karl Marx intended
